Dr. Mary Claire Martin

We are excited to introduce Dr. Mary Claire Martin, who recently graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry and is thrilled to begin serving patients in the community she now proudly calls home.

Dr. Martin’s journey to dentistry began during a high school mission trip to Peru, where she witnessed firsthand the life-changing impact access to dental care can have on individuals and families.

“Seeing hundreds of people wait in line each day for the chance to receive dental care opened my eyes to the difference a dentist can make in a community. The gratitude and joy on the patients’ faces left a lasting impression on me and inspired me to pursue a career dedicated to serving others through dentistry.”

That passion for serving others continues to drive her today. Dr. Martin is especially passionate about helping patients restore their confidence through healthy, beautiful smiles. She enjoys a wide range of procedures, particularly crowns, cosmetic dentistry, and restorative treatments that improve both the function and appearance of a patient’s smile.

“My favorite part of dentistry is helping patients feel comfortable smiling again. Seeing the positive impact that improved oral health and a renewed smile can have on someone’s confidence and quality of life is incredibly rewarding.”

Dr. Martin believes that before someone is a patient, they are a person. Her approach to care centers on building genuine relationships, listening to patients’ concerns, and creating a comfortable environment where every patient feels heard, valued, and respected.

“I want every patient to feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their care. Building trust and creating meaningful relationships is one of the most important parts of what I do.”

She is committed to helping patients understand their oral health through clear communication and modern technology, including tools like Overjet, which allows patients to see and better understand their dental conditions and treatment recommendations.

Outside the office, Dr. Martin enjoys playing Mahjong, taking long walks with her yellow lab, Daisy, cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels, and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband love hosting gatherings, cooking together, and making memories with those closest to them. As a fun fact, they’re a “house divided”- she’s a devoted Ole Miss fan while her husband is a Mississippi State graduate, and they’ve learned that watching the Egg Bowl separately is often the key to a happy marriage!
